Peanut Butter Icebox Dessert

Nothing screams classic American dessert like a Peanut Butter Icebox Dessert. Filled with a creamy peanut butter mixture, crunchy graham cracker crust and topped with a chocolate ganache, this easy-to-make treat is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Press mixture into prepared baking pan and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until combined. Fold in whipped topping until mixture is combined. Spread mixture evenly over cooled crust.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine chocolate chips, butter and 2 tablespoons water. Microwave for 1 minute, stirring every 20 seconds, until melted and smooth. Spread evenly over peanut butter mixture.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
